WHAT IS MEMORY71?

Memory71 is a non-profit community project under TigerIT Foundation. The concept for the pilot is to design and construct a building that can be utilised for prayers, health care services and education, functioning as a vibrant and effective resource for the community.

Keeping in-line with Vision 2021 of Digital Bangladesh the community centre will use digital systems at its foundation to provide technology driven programs that will ease rural accessibility barriers, respond to local needs and recognized gaps in services.

Memory71 pilot project has been developed around a concept where the local community allocates or donates a space within an existing religious building. Memory71 implements its health and educational programs utilising the space provided. Memory71 will develop, implement and manage the health and educational programs, employing people from the local community where applicable.

WHO ARE WE SERVING?

The location chosen for the community pilot project is in Banshkhali an Upazila of Chittagong District. In Banshkhali we are in partnership with architect Marina Tabbasum to design and construct a community building. It will be a prayer space, community health clinic and educational centre. We want this structure to be the template for future endeavours around Bangladesh.
